Hawaii Trip

This is our First Day May 20th 2008

Second Day! Take a look. May 21st 2008
My dad came to pick us up at Michelle's place at 8am. We headed to my dad's for breakfast. We had ate some smoked pork with eggs and rice.Yum. We stayed at my dad's for awhile, while he put up a fan in his back room. I blogged a little. Then off for a walk at Coconut Island. My dad left us there so he could go to his physical therapy. He picked us up at like 2:30ish. Then we got some Lunch at L&L. So yummy! Then went to get some clothes for my sister Nohea's wedding! We found some cute clothes. After that we headed to my dad's house for Pizza. I got to meet her soon to be husband Josh and her little baby boy Rian. They are such a cute family!

Third Day May 22nd 2008

We went to the Volcano place. We saw the new hole that the Volcano made only 2months ago. We saw the Crater and walked through a volcano tube! That was way cool. Then ate lunch at Blane's. So Ono. (delicious). That's when we tried there famous mac salad. (macironi salad) Then BACK to my dad's house. i never understood why my dad kept taking us there. He knows that his wife lisa hates me. But my dad is sometimes clueless, maybe that's where i get a little bit of it from. Nana(lisa's mom), Tina(lisa's sister), and Andrew(lisa's nephew) flew in for the wedding. Lisa made dinner, it was Kahlua and cabbage. Sounds weird but super good, you eat it over rice. I've noticed that almost everything in Hawaii is with rice. But nohea,Josh and Rian came over too. It was nice to see all new faces again! Then went home at about 10ish.

Forth day May 23rd 2008

We went to my dad's again!! Why i thought! But whatever right. Well we went to help a little before the Bridal shower for my sister that was later that day at 4pm or 6pm. And lisa was on one. Even her sister said so. But as for the big issue i had with her was today. She was talking with my dad about if we were done looking at the sites and he said no. She wanted him to help and my dad said no again. He was talking with her and i walked in front of them while they were talking. (she was in the kitchen and he was sitting at the dinner table. I was walking around looking for Brakken) But as you can imagine she started to yell at me say "Raelynn I'm talking to your dad" and i replied saying "and I'm looking for my Son" (think why is she telling me that. I already knew)and she kept repeating Raelynn I'm talking to your dad. I asked her to stop yelling at me and she claimed she wasn't (but i swear she was). Then i told her to shut up. Probably not the best thing to say but she started freaking out and then she walked up to me (may i mention that she is drinking a beer and it's in her hand) and......(you'll never guess).... she pushed me and wanted to fight me!!! What a crazy lady!!! She is 45 and mine 21... Who in the world wants to fight there step daughter.. i know lisa. She kept telling me to get the F@#$ out of her house! Over and over again! She was like right in my face!! Finally my dad had to interfere (why not sooner i don't know??). She was so out of control my dad had to push her!! It took so much of me not to push her back but Brakken was right next to me when that crazy lady shoved me. I don't think that my son should ever see me when i get out of control. So she did all of this in front of her mom(Nana), her sister (Tina), her Nephew (Andrew), my dad, Joel, and Brakken. I couldn't help but to cry. Her mom was crying and said why are you doing this, my granddaughter is getting married. Her sister Tina apologized to me for her sisters behavior. I knew that something like this would happen but i didn't want it to! So after i got in the car, Lisa followed us out side and was trying to justify that what she did was ok. And started to apologize to Joel saying that I caused all this drama or whatever and was saying sorry to Joel! I just wanted to leave and didn't understand why my father would let something like this happen!! I didn't want to even look at him I was so mad! I was even mad a Joel for hugging her!! (after she apologized to Joel she hugged him) I swear she has a chemical imbalance, but I'm no doctor.
After all that excitement(drama) i had to pray and take a nap... I wanted to fight fire with fire by calling the police and pressing charges but i knew that would make things worse! So i just called my mom and if she could've flown out here she would have went to jail for me. Thanks mom i love you!! But I'm not that lucky!! My dad took her side again. I felt so heart broken!! Again why... I'm so done with her, she is dead to me.

but it leave on a good note after the nap we headed to Walmart to get the boys slippas (flip flops). Then back to Coconut Island again and this time we took a swim. It was nice to be with the people that I'm sealed to... My amazing husband Joel and my SONshines!!

We're BACK!!

The trip was bitter sweet.. I'll give more details tomorrow sometime. We have tonz of pictures and i have a lot of interesting events. Thanks for the encouragement about our trip. But it feels so nice to be back!
We arrived at 10:35am this morning Thursday may 29,2008. Debbie came to pick us up and it was real nice to see her. Then off to o town. (oh yeah thanks Debbie for coming to pick us up from the airport!!!) The stopped at good old Costa Vida for some lunch!! It was kinda nice to eat some Utah food. Not that Local food wasn't good but it was nice to be home! After lunch it was off to aunty Jess and uncle Seth's house to hang out. Played in the yard and what do you know it's DINNER time. So Jesika and Debbie went to Papa Murphy's. After pizza and chit chat, we got to squeeze in some "So you think you can Dance?" funny i saw a girl i went to jr. high and high school with and she made it to Vegas. Way to go Lindsey!! Then our drive back to HOME SWEET HOME..... LOGAN!! We are back and it feels so good to be in our own house, in our own space! our vaca was nice but in my bed is more cozy!
I'm excited to see everyone at Church. I brought something with me....a TAN!! Well it was red but now it's nice and bronzy! Hurray.
Nice to be back!

Our Fun Starts

........with a LONG drive to the airport! We left our house at 3am, so that means that i had to wake up at 2am... Pretty crapy.. But our fun starts there... Joel brought home a Kia so we could drive it to the airport cuz our little car couldn't fit all our luggage. Then we checked in and through security is not fun at all with little ones. We have to take off our shoes and pack up the strollers! but then we were off to the plane. the boys didn't sleep much and were awake when we drive to Salt Lake.
we made it to San Fran and had enough time to change butts and clothes. then off to HAWAII!! Well Oahu.. that flight was real bad cuz it's a 4 hour plane ride with not a lot of leg room. and to top it off they mixed up our seats, so i was in 40a, Joel was in 49g and Brakken was in 49d. But we just traded with a FEW people. But when we were about to land i started to cry and Joel asked me why? and i just felt like i was BACK home! i didn't want to leave.
then when we landed, we had a 4 hour layover and we thought we could drive around and i would show Joel around (show him were i lived and whatever). But we forgot that we needed car seats. We had them put the car seats below. So we had to stay at the Airport, cuz i didn't want to pull a Brittany. (driving with the kids in the car without car seats)
Finally the last flight!!! Only 30minutes!!! But the worst flight!! Madden had it, he wanted the plane to move but they wanted to take their time! But how can anyone blame him we have been traveling and it's 3pm Hawaii time.. So Utah time 7pm! 2am to 7pm...wow too much! But we landed on The Big Island about 4:30pm pt (pacific time). We all were so glad to be done..
then of the g-g's house (Great grandpa Uye, my dad's dad) We saw a few aunty's and cousins and one uncle. I was nice to talk story with them. (talk story means chit chat) I picking up the talk... pidgin it's bad grammar it's like lazy talking.. They shorten everything! Just listen to me when i get back, and you'll get the jest.
Oh yeah and the place that we are staying at is with my dad's friend. they have like a little cottage that we stay in and the property is beautiful. She lives on 2acres. She has a pool two guest houses, and her house!! I'll take pictures of it. Beautiful!! Thanks Dad and Michelle.

but i can't post pictures i forgot the picture thing that transfer the pictures to the computer or whatever it does... i don't know...oh well I'll try to figure it out or just have Joel figure it out, or I'll just make a big slide show when i get back.

I miss everyone but i LOVE every minute HERE!!
I start to get teary eyed when i think about leaving..

Excitement TURNS TO Nervous

Well today is the last day in the U T. and I'm getting really nervous! but before last night i was really excited! But as i look back at all the moments (big moments) in my life, i was super excited and the day of or right before my excitement turned to nerves. Like cold feet the day Joel and i got married, and the time we were in the session and they asked if anyone feels they shouldn't be here then you can leave now.... well i was thinking about leaving.. but with both of those moments in my life i couldn't wait for that moment to come! Or the time when my dad come to Utah, to see me for the first time in 7 almost 8 years. i thought i would throw up but the day before that i was so excited to see his face!
I don't know if it's Satan telling me that i don't deserve all my family to love me or just me. It feels weird to see my dad again, to go back.... Back meaning....to go back to Hawaii, and after the biggest heart break ever. The flight to Hawaii will be a new start or just a new heart ache. Maybe that's why I'm nervous. I don't know anyone that Loves or even likes to get there heart broke. But I've been wrong many time.....
I plan to go to Hawaii with a open heart and mind. So Hawaii here WE come.

If you look close you can see that Brakken's pants are on backwards. He put them on himself! He's growing up so fast.

Brakken is showing HIS DAD his muscles. Brakken you are a strong boy! Well the point of this post is that Brakken is wearing his pants on backwards and it reminded me of a period in my life were i did that on purpose. I was in like 2nd grade, when Chris Cross came out and they wore their pants on backwards. Do you remember the song "chris cross will make you jump jump. mac daddy will make you jump jump." all i can remember are those words, but i think that's almost all that they say....funny haha

Mothers Day Weekend

Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers out there!! Or should i say Happy late Mothers Day.. This weekend:
Saturday: We went to Great Clips and got hair cuts... well Joel and me. I just thought i should thin my hair out a little before our trip.. and Joel decide to go with a fohawk... It's real cute on him!! He looks like Ryan Seacrest!! (for some of you that don't know, he is my celebrity crush!!!) Then we went to Men's Ware House to get Joel new ties, shoes and belts for work!! Oh yeah and a tie clip. Then off to O town. We stopped by to see some fam. We played some baseball in my gmas and papas yard. We had a blast... Then we stopped by to eat some pizza. That's when we saw my mom, brother and Danni (his soon to be wife). After that we went to my moms to have some small talk.. Then after that we headed back to Good Old Logan!!

Sunday: We headed to early church well..... 11am. Not that early but we had a Family Mothers Day lunch to go to at 1:30 in Mountain Green. I loved the talks that i heard in Sacrament meeting. "Don't compare your life with anyone else." that one stuck in my head the most. But anyways we drove down to the fam party and had a good time. Lunch in the sun was awesome. Not to hot but not to cold. Then later that night my dad called me to wish me a happy mothers day!! It was real nice to hear from him. We talked for a hour or so.. i love my dad. And when he told me that he was so excited to see us and have us there to meet everyone. That was like the icing on the cake!! But i just hope everything goes smooth and that we remember this trip cuz it was fun and enjoyable not for anything else. So we except the worst but hope for the best. I never understood that til now.

Early Mothers Day

This is what i got on Friday!! Joel couldn't wait.. and he says that i can't wait. So i guess we are more alike than different! Thanks Hunny!

Mackley...yeah

Yeah... So i finally called Mackley about getting a wedding album made for us!! I thought my Hawaii fam would probably want to see our wedding since they couldn't make it!! But any who i called and my appointment is today!!! At noon! I'm so excited to go down memory line... Seeing me in white and Joel is red! I'm way excited... Oh yeah and another good news is that I'm so excited cuz Joel wants to rent another car this weekend (last weekend we rented a Mazda cx9 pretty sweet SUV!! We went to a blessing and saw some family and didn't pay for gas!) he plans on renting a van. Joel wants a van so bad!! But i just can't take being a mom, Mormon and drive a van all at once. I hope anyone that drives a van don't take anything personal. A van is not for everyone, that's why there are so many different kinds of cars. So now i have a ride to my appointment. Clari is gonna watch the boys and I'm gonna design our album that everyone will see! Well Mackley here i come.......well not til noon...

Walk, Slurpees, and Water.. oh my

I can't walk in the mornings or at night so i walk when i can, to my friend Clari's house past our church (so a little over a mile walk). I pull the boys in the wagon and they enjoy the scenery. I work out as the boys enjoy the great out doors! The enjoyments of bitter sweet. You have to love everyday and every moment you have. And I'm trying my best to live like that.
So yesterday i got to walk a little over 3 miles!! Yea me!! And after the walk i felt the need to wash the boys wagon and strollers! Weird i know but i wanted clean strollers for our TRIP!
Our trip is coming up in 2 weeks!! Wow 2 weeks!

May has some warm, great days but some pretty crappy ones! But you have to enjoy all the days! Wow, i think I'm becoming a great Philosopher...haha or just listening more.

And this Sunday we went to Grady's blessing! Grady you are so cute! And I got to bear my testimony and tell the Hansen Family how much of a great example they are. It felt great finally telling them that!! Afton you are one of the best examples I know. Thanks for raising your family so I could have a better understanding of what true happiness is.
Not that I don't love everyone else in my Family, I DO! But they know that, and I'm sure Afton didn't know.
